OVER THE BORDER RECORDS is proud to announce that the UK band MAGNETIC SKIES is now part of the label’s booking division.
MAGNETIC SKIES are a synth-pop and darkwave band whose cinematic electronic sound blends vintage analogue textures with soaring modern songwriting. Formed by vocalist/keyboardist Simon Kent and keyboardist Jo Womar, the project began as a studio collaboration inspired by a shared love of 80s synth-driven post-punk and electronic pop.
Their music draws on the lineage of classic synthpop and new wave while embracing a darker, cinematic edge, resulting in a style that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking.
The band has stated about the collaboration:
“We’ve always wanted to take Magnetic Skies beyond the UK and build a connection with audiences across Europe, so we’re really excited to be working with Davide and Over The Border Records. Germany is a particularly interesting territory for us, and with our third album coming in November 2027, it feels like the right time to start making those connections. We’re looking forward to working together, playing some great shows and introducing Magnetic Skies to new audiences.”
Davide Pulito, CEO of Over The Border Records, elaborated:
“I'm excited to announce the signing of MAGNETIC SKIES. I loved their sound from the very first moment so I can’t wait to book gigs for the next album promotion. Welcome on board guys!”
With a growing reputation for crafting synth-driven songs that balance nostalgia with contemporary emotional depth, MAGNETIC SKIES are steadily establishing themselves as one of the UK’s most compelling modern electronic acts.
